ESD moisture barrier bags, also called metallized bags, protect sensitive items from moisture, humidity, oxygen, grease, and other contaminants.
- They are heat sealable and can be used for vacuum packaging.
- Made with polyester (PET) for strength and puncture resistance.
- The metallic layer protects against electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Commonly used to pack ESD-sensitive components before placing them on circuit boards.
Physical Properties: –
- Static Dissipative Polyester – Dissipates static charges on the bag’s surface.
- Aluminum Shield (1st Layer) – Blocks electrostatic fields and moisture.
- Polyester – Adds strength and puncture resistance.
- Aluminum Shield (2nd Layer) – Enhances EMI and moisture barrier.
- Static Dissipative Polyethylene – Inner layer safe for components and heat-sealable.
