Description
Copper is a commonly used material for ESD (electrostatic discharge) mat grounding because of its good conductivity and corrosion resistance.
To use a copper strip for ESD mat grounding, you would typically connect the strip to an earth ground using a wire or other conductor. The ESD mat would then be placed on top of the copper strip, and any conductive items (such as electronic components) would be placed on the mat.
It’s important to note that simply grounding an ESD mat is not enough to fully protect against electrostatic discharge. Other measures, such as using wrist straps and taking appropriate precautions when handling sensitive components, may also be necessary to prevent damage from ESD.
copper strips of size 0.2mm thick x 12 or 20 mm under the floor mat with proper earthing connection is recommended.
